Career for fresher in data mining

I am a fresher passed out this year from India. I have done a project in the area of opinion mining as a part of my Masters degree. I have strong background of Mathematics. I want to know that is there any way to get the job or research work in the area of data mining without any professional experience. Please guide me. I am very much puzzled.
