Thanks for posting this chart. I find it fascinating. Obviously, from the banner on the right side of the screen, you can already see that companies like Zementis are already bringing the worlds of predictive analytics and cloud computing together. I believe that analytics in the cloud is going to be common place fairly soon.
As stated by the Zementis CEO in a recent interview posted in the DecisionStats blog:
The biggest challenge for analytics will most likely be the reduction in technology spending in a deep, global recession. At the same time, companies must take advantage of analytics to cut cost, optimize processes, and to become more competitive. Therefore, the biggest opportunity for analytics will be in the SaaS field, enabling clients to employ analytics without upfront capital expenditures.
A word that starts to get very popular (in the context of analytics) is insights, as in "customer insights". It is moving faster than business intelligence.
Good one ! One thing in common in all of them OPTIMIZATION. CC : Optimisation of Resources. DM : Optimisation from Historical Data, BI - Optimisation from Information. All this technology will be in centerstage for atleast another 5 Yrs to come.
