The ICDM 2010 Contest: Road Traffic Prediction for Intelligent GPS Navi... organized by TunedIT for IEEE International Conference on Data Mining will end in 4 weeks from now. There's still time to join and crunch the problem of traffic jams, for prizes and fame!
Nearly 500 teams have registered so far and 70 of them submitted one or more
solutions, totaling 1767 different solutions. The leading teams are currently:
Results are already by 45% better than the baseline approach, which proves that there's huge potential for predicting road traffic and improving vehicle communication in cities.
