As Manager, Strategic Planning and Data Analytics you will join the UPMC Corporate & Special Projects department located in downtown Pittsburgh.  We are looking for candidates with superb writing, presentation, and communication skills to conduct analysis using data from a wide variety of sources and present it to UPMC senior leadership.  In addition, candidates must have the project and people management skills necessary for leading a team of analysts and addressing strategy and planning issues.  Activities may include market analysis, market research, strategic planning, community health needs assessment, international and national media analysis, competitive analysis and benchmarking. 

Candidates must meet one of the following requirements:

• Master level degree in Business Administration, Health Administration or a quantitative field of study (e.g., mathematics, economics, sciences, finance, etc.) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (e.g., strategy, planning, business development, quantitative decision support, finance)

OR

• Bachelor’s degree with 7 years of experience

What prior experience are we looking for?

• project management (developing work plans, tracking progress, coordinating teams composed of individuals from multiple departments, completing deliverables, etc.)
• advanced analytics (manipulating complex datasets, probing deeply to interpret data, communicating complex analytical concepts in easy to understand ways, etc.)
• research (e.g., identify key dynamics within a market)
• presentation with external audiences.  Experience as a supervisor is required.  Experience in a consulting, corporate or competitive strategy, or service line management environment is preferred; some operational experience is preferred.
• Exceptional Excel and PowerPoint skills are required.  Experience with SPSS (or other statistical packages), ArcGIS (or other mapping software), COGNOS, market research tools and/or other relevant software packages is preferred.
