Technical Lead/Project Lead/Software Developer

Leading financial news data company in NYC is looking to fill a role with an individual possessing solid skills in: C/C++ development, Objected Oriented design, Oracle, UNIX and project management. As a "hands-on" technical lead, you will implement and manage projects. Working closely with business representatives you will translate real-world business needs into effective designs and project plans, leading the project from inception through construction and deployment.

The person in this role will work with developers, quants, business, clients and some of the best people in the industry to write the applications that feed the markets.

The FX and Economics group develops and maintains applications and real time pricing servers that deliver powerful analytics to financial markets participants.

They are also looking for Senior Developers to work within this group. If you are looking for a senior hands -on Developer role. Please apply as well.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years experience in professional software development and 2+ years in project management.
• Strong C/C++, Unix, Oracle DB, XML, OOAD with STL and Design Patterns
• Experience with standard software code tools for debugging, profiling, version control, memory management and code coverage.
• Motivated self-starter with leadership and project management experience
• Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to motivate and mentor others, reach consensus, and build effective working relationships.
