Senior Digital Analyst (SDA)
DESCRIPTION:
The SDA will lead the analytics team responsible for measuring the effectiveness of digital advertising against relevant business and/or digital metrics (click rate, conversion rate, and interaction) and will articulate the performance to internal and external parties via campaign and/or ad-hoc reports.
The role of the SDA is two-fold – the SDA will be a “Hands-on Analytics Contributor” as well as the “Analytics Lead” within the agency.
Hands-On Contributor:
The SDA is responsible for the data pulling (from multiple sources), cleansing and analysis, with the end goal of translating the data into actionable recommendations. The SDA will be the expert in campaign performance, the analytical resource for all internal and external parties and will provide a proactive voice for relevant testing and optimization opportunities.
The selected candidate will collaborate with all internal groups including Creative, Technology, Production, Account Management, Media and Ad Operations. Additionally, they will work directly with the Client Business Intelligence, Interactive Media and Marketing Communications managers.
Team Lead:
The selected candidate will be a mentor to the analytics team members, as well as be the team’s go-to person for methodology and/or digital analytics practices insight. The Senior Digital Analyst will be tasked to maintain the team’s role within the internal agency process, and voice concerns when problems in process are identified and work with the internal teams to identify solutions.
Duties include:
• Lead analytics team responsible for campaign analysis of high profile clientele
• Maintain analytics deliverables schedule
• Project management of analytics deliverables
• Author Analytics Briefs and Tracking Requirements documents
• Implement measurement tools, monitor and measure the performance of client websites and online marketing activities, interpret and analyze the information gathered
• Apply insights to develop optimization recommendations
• Partner with Production, Ad Operations and third party rich media vendors to ensure that the required data points can be aggregated
• QA ads in testing and live environments to ensure ad units are accurately pulling data into the reporting console
• Collect and maintain data via internal or third party sources
• Create spreadsheets and pivot tables in Excel that are accessible to other team members
• Create reports which include written and graphical representation of analysis, and present them to internal and Client teams
• Assist in managing projects related to strategic planning and new business development
• Stay on top of digital marketing and analytics industry trends
Skills Requirements:
• Must have ability to utilize advanced Excel tools such as pivot tables, V-lookup, T-test, ANOVA, regression, correlation, etc.
• Must have general understanding of digital marketing and metrics
• Must have expert knowledge in Omniture and DART tracking/tagging systems, and be familiar with implementation strategies
• Must have hands-on experience with qualitative test design documentation and implementation
• Experience working with tech and ad operations teams
Job Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on digital analytics experience (web, media, and/or creative)
• Hands-on experience with data cleansing and analysis
• Experience with managing Client relationships & regular Client interaction
• Analytical rigor & strategic thinking ability
• Must have the ability to learn new concepts, software applications and reporting consoles quickly
• Experience in DART or Atlas a plus
• Bachelors degree preferably in business, economics, mathematics, or statistics
• MBA a plus
