Analytics is the act of finding something useful to you or your organization.

Reporting is the act of delivering it to the right people.

BI is a technology category.

Analytics is often a creative process, not just a process of retrieval. The word "discovery" unfortunately is often used, but it implies pre-existence. Most analysts I know focus their observation work on derivative values which they create by synthesizing pre-existing constructs.
