Sandro Saitta has been selected as our Member of the Month for November 2008. Sandro is one of our faithfull members. He recruited many great new members over the last few months. Sandro is a computer science Ph.D. student at the prestigious EPFL (Lausanne, Switzerland). He designed a data mining search engine, based on 800 links provided by AnalyticBridge members.

Just a note: I'm no more a Ph.D. student now. I'm working in a financial company where I apply data mining techniques in the US stocks market.

Could you please elaborate a bit (to the extent permissible by professional secrecy requiremets) on what kind of data mining you usually do on stock market. I couldn't agree more with the statement that "Finance is a huge field with several exciting applications for data mining" - I personally have a strong interest in that.
