I am considering whether or not to learn survival analysis. While it looks intriguing to me, I am needing to make a business case for it first. For people who use survival analysis: what kinds of business questions have you encountered, when you found survival analysis an appropriate or vital method? Is it something you consider important in your stats toolkit?
