I used to work for a company called Haverly Systems and they were a competitor to PIMS. You should able to find them at www.haverly.com. They have a suite of tools for refineries.

Hi Group,
I am working as Production Planning Engr. with hands on experience on LP optimization software (GRTMPS by Haverly). I am interested in knowing that how this software is being utilized in other refineries. What different capabilities of this software are being utilized?

Hi,
I am not working in refinery industry but I have background in OR and I am curious to know what kind of problem is involved in the refinery production. Do you use LP, NLP, or MIP? Thanks.

Hi,
We are using LP and MIP for our refinery production planning optimization based on situational requirements. Currently, we just start moving to use NLP but with a little experience. In my company, I am using XPIMS which is a Multi-plant and multi-period optimization.
We are trying to optimize several parameters such as:
• Refinery mode of operation
• Refinery optimum slate of production
• Product blending recipes
• Product movements
