The stock market can ignore market fundamentals, although only in the short run; this is what causes bubbles, and ultimately what bursts bubbles!

Great graph but where is the hypothesis? Given the data, the house prices have been on decline since late 2006 but neither jobs or S&P500 seem to have noticed. Stock market should be a 6month leading indicator, so the questions are just too many! Love to hear some postulates and deeper analysis!
