Share of AMSTAT members, per state

This chart shows the breakdown of AMSTAT (American Statistical Association) members per state. North Carolina, Pennsylviana and New Jersey are over-represented because of the pharmaceutical industry. Maryland and Virginia are over-represented because of a high concentration of government statistiticians. Florida is under-represented because of lack of analytical jobs. This chart was computed using sample membership data.
