Sorry Goldrick, I was working on some other project and couldn't able to respond. I tried doing hierarchical clustering on eigen vectors since we have lot of consumer data. Our results shows that there are peak transactions almost in every month. Sh…
Did you mention what platform you are on? Microsoft's Sequence Clustering algorithm in SQL Server Analysis Services is designed to address that kind of a problem--sequence patterns. Also, I would think that web analytics software might have somethin…

hello karteek

Karteek:
Okay. In your application, the correspondence analysis generates 11 eigenvectors in order of their explanatory power, from highest to lowest. The next thing to do is perform a "biplot" of the first 2 dimensions. The biplot will show both c…
Thanks for your suggestion Goldrick. I used Correspondence Analysis as you mentioned, but I'm not sure how good to use this for mining large database.Could you please give me some example or applications on time series data.

I am very sure that m not in a position to provide data from my company, but lets see what can be done -- i really wonder how to solve the problem if i would have been in your place :(
Hi Karteek, it will be good if you can provide some specifications-- what i can make out is that you are looking to work in area of consumer behavior (or something similar) , though I may be way off the mark. You can mail me at manish.igidr@gmail.com
It essentially depends on the area you are working on.
If it is :
1. Finance-- Go for BSE, NSE,LSE websites - data is free and in abudance.
2. Development Economics/ consumer behaviour - NSS (for india) and get back to me for others.
3. Macroeconomics - IMF Database, RBI Website (database i mean), Bloomeberg (Not free), CMIE (Not for free thought again).
For anything specific , get back to me . Helps ???
