Short Bio:

Mr. Paul J. Bross is a Systems Engineering Principal (Operations Research) at Lockheed Martin’s Center for Innovation located in Suffolk, Virginia. The Center for Innovation is a state of the art research and development facility for collaborative experimentation and analysis in support of Lockheed Martin, its industry partners and customers. Mr. Bross is responsible for activities encompassing the design and execution of collaboration activities, experimental design, and modeling and simulation to support experimentation and general analysis at the Center.

Prior to joining Lockheed Martin, Mr. Bross spent 15 years in various analysis and software development positions supporting federal, state, and civilian enterprises in algorithm and model development along with statistical analyses. His last position before joining the Center for Innovation was as a member of the development staff of CACI-Federal, Inc. supporting the design and development of the DoD’s Joint Analysis System, a state-of-the-art joint campaign-level model where his responsibilities included designing Field Artillery and Logistics modules and overseeing all developer testing for government acceptance.

Having served in the United States Army for more than 20 years as a Field Artillery and Operations Research specialty officer, Paul Bross retired from active duty in May 1989. His last two military assignments were as Assistant Chief of Staff, AFCENT Reserve Corps, Tapijn Kaserne, The Netherlands and as the Deputy Director for Analysis for the Command, Control, and Communications Countermeasures (C3CM) Joint Test Force at Kirtland AFB, NM.

Mr. Bross received his Master of Science in Operations Research from the US Naval Postgraduate School and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the Virginia Military Institute. Mr. Bross is a graduate of the US Army’s Command and General Staff College, Ft. Leavenworth, KS as well as the Field Artillery Basic and Advanced courses at Fort Sill, OK. Mr. Bross is a recognized expert in the field of experimental design and has given tutorials at special workshops for the Military Operations Research Society (MORS). He is a contributing author to the Operations Research textbook Methods for Conducting Military Operational Analysis.

Paul Bross is married to the former Miss Linda Parker Beale of Winton, NC. They reside in Suffolk, Virginia.
