When I began this thread, I had no idea a few weeks later an article in New Scientist would describe how "By analysing the most elegant and intricate pattern known to mathematics, Lisi has uncovered a relationship underlying all the universe's particles and forces, including gravity". Garrett's paper, titled "An Exceptionally Simple Theory of Everything" is located here. (And the video is on YouTube!)
So what is next ?

OK, so what if the metaphorical elephant were really a metaphorical black swan ?
Does epistemic arrogance = cognitive bias. And does that sufficiently explain why “The world we live in is vastly different from the world we think we live in.” ?

Ajay, thank-you for your comments. I agree with your sentiment, building a such a model is likely to *almost* succeed. Uncertainty coupled with cognitive bias present an computational epistemological challenge.

Not really. Models assume linearity and thus approximations while chaotic systems cannot be really defined.Systems dependent on human beings are just massive aggregations of neural network activity and cognitive .behaviour
Add The Uncertainty Principle and the ToE , can be renamed the Theory of Almost Everything. or Psychohistory if you prefer Asimov.
