The question was whether you can detect the click fraud from the server log file. In the article, you provided a log file.
I can't find the question (I downloaded the log file but can't find it either).
Hi Vincent, I'm a regular user of Analytic Bridge & find it very helpful. But with it's search functionality I've some issues. Can it be possible to improve the internal search engine of this site.
hi, im student & doing BCS final year project on "Distributed Data Mining in credit card fraud detection",
in which i have transaction records in which i want to layout fraudulent transaction by using Algo's approach, plz guide me
Thank you, Vincent, for invite. I'm interested in all aspects of statistics so I'm looking forward to becoming more acquainted in newer (to me) areas, such as Data Mining, for example. I know of Dr. Richard Smith. I attended the 1998 Statistical Climatology conference in Whister, B.C. and he made a presentation there. Charles
I see your point about B2B and mailing lists, but that's most likely a very different business model. I've heard of other companies which do that, but we're in the URL sharing space -- e.g., check usage on HuffPost, ESPN, O'Reilly blogs, etc.
Re: Ning, I'll check... They are down the street, and a few friends now work there.
I am in search for some good techniques (or combination of those) to model rare events (a ratio of 1:500 to 1:1000). Apart from logistic (and versions) and boot strapping, I am looking to:
1. Use a combine of logistic and decision tree (say decision tree segmentation followed by logistic on part of data where good-bad ratio is more balanced).
2. Explore neural net
3. Other procedures in SAS.

I have a deep interest on how analytics can and do influence more accurate decision making.

Will get back to you in case I find something mutually gainful.
Thanks
