I work as a statistical consultant and scientific writer/editor as the Principal of Method Consulting. With a focus on social advocacy and knowledge creation, my role in analytical project management and content production will vary by sector.
I am here for business development and collaborations with Social researchers, and offer incentives to those with whom I develop business relationships. I also want to learn more and contribute to the analytics community.
As of now, I seek to collaborate with Nonprofit Orgranizations both locally and nationally to procure grant funding through evidenced-based grant proposal development. Ultimately my analytical capabilities will be applied to create a systematic relationship between program evaluation and grant writing.
Aside from my burgeouning work with NPOs, I also work with researchers across Social Science disciplines in behavioral data analysis and academic publication, as well as with company startups seeking first and second-round funding in business planning and financial modeling.
I am pursuing a Ph.D. in Quantitative Psychology with official entry into my program in Fall 2009.
Carol - though my analytics background started in the ERP world (PeopleSoft/Oracle), I'm at a crossroads of whether to learn SPSS or SAS. One of my product development projects centers around using statistical models to enhance predictive analytics capabilities in the commercial real estate industry. I'd also like to leverage existing text mining/analytics capabilities.
I'd love to hear your opinion on which product you think would be best.
Since I'm in the process of outlining a book on the subject matter (as it relates to commercial real estate), there may be an opportunity to collaborate on a writing project.
